ThinkFree Mobile Netbook is based on the company's Java-based ThinkFree Mobile platform, which is in turn based on its mature ThinkFree Office suite. Previously available only to device manufacturers, ThinkFree Mobile Netbook is now available to the public in an ESD (electronic software download) version for Linux, Windows, and Mac platforms, says ThinkFree. The ThinkFree Mobile line also includes a Linux-compatible MID Edition, as well as an Android Edition aimed at smartphones running the Google-sponsored, Linux-based Android platform.
